Peter,
I thought someone would ask that and should have posted this too.  Shown is the drain line on my previous boat.  The drain line runs up higher than the connection (to keep water from siphoning in when the through hull is submerged) and tees into the sink drain.  This works for a permanent installation.  The wiring follows the drain line to the pump. - rob

How does your drain line run? To the sink or sink drain, I'd imagine.
