Oh well :-(
The ICW idea sounds nice. I've not yet done that... and I also dream of
doing the keys someday. I have family in Louisiana so my plan is to leave
the truck and trailer at a cousin's house..maybe start in the Vermillion
Bay... but right now it is still a ways off... until then I have sailed
the Chesapeake bay, Albemarle and Pamlico sounds a good deal. AND LOVE
IT!!! You could easily make an entire summer out of the Chesapeake bay,
and if you get wander lust you can ICW to the Albemarle/Pamlico sounds and
spend another summer there and hit the outer banks... and never get to
Florida... at least not yet :-)
Fair winds and if you ever hit the Albemarle or Pamlico let me know and
maybe we can raft up some time.
