Should have no problems at all. I towed our first R22, an '86, with a Volvo Bertone V6 - it did cost me a transmission but it was the only car I had at the time. I towed it home for its annual clean up and for hurricane avoidance. Our driveway also had an incline.
Never had a towing problem. Yes, I was happy to move to a SUV but the Volvo did the job.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Changes in weight distribution (towing/backing up)
Hello,
I'm towing my '84 R22 with a Jeep Liberty CRD (diesel).
Should I be concerned about change in weight distribution when trying to
back up my new-to-me R22 when the driveway has a short incline?
My concern is while backing up the driveway, the 2900 lb boat will increase
tongue weight to a point that will make me loose control of the situation.
Thanks in advance!
