[Rhodes22-list] Ahoy! (boat talk, right?)

Joe;

My transducer was mounted by Stan externally just below the transom with the
data wire attached neatly from there, up and through transom well above the
waterline then through the fiberglass under the seat and into the cabin
where the electic power is located...the readout is mounted to the right of
the companionway on the aft-facing bulhead about where the compass is
mounted opposite it on the other side of the companionway. It is easy to
read there from the helm position. I have my GPS mounted alongside it. The
mounts allow the instrument readouts to be removed and stored in the cabin
or off the boat. The aft mounted transducer has posed no problems.

sailing didnt pour it out and it is otherwise firmly attached.

depth finder on my boat.  After which I will finally have some depth.  I am
not sure I have enough on my own.  Anyway, give me your versions of best
places to mount the data head and transducer.  I like the Laz, but where in
it? (forward in the compartment seems best to me.)  If I go with a location
under the cabin floor, where there?  Am I good in the bilge or should I go
more forward near the water tank?  I am looking forward to the usual best
advice.  Se ya where it's wet.
