We sleep in the cabin because we can keep the bugs out.
We have a bedroll we made from two fleece blankets and two brushed
cotton flat sheets. I think they are doubles but the blankets are
about 60" wide and the sheets are 70" wide. We sewed the foot of the
fleece blankets together and separately sewed the foot of the fleece
blankets together. Put some snaps (actually snap tape) at the foot of
each so we could snap sheets and blankets together, This allows us to
quickly and easily make the bed up at night and roll it up in the
morning. The whole thing rolls up and stores in a duffel but it's
easy to get them apart for washing. Very comfy. On a warm night, you
can put both layers of fleece underneath and on a cold night you
could put both blanket layers over you although we prefer to carry an
extra fleece blanket.
BTW - We use a swing out hinged leg to support the bow end of the
middle piece of the cabin berth so we can still get to the
porta-potti. We have the semi-enclosed head. Originally the middle
piece of the cabin berth was supported by the forward piece which is
also the hinged piece that gives access to the head. The hinged
support for the berth is an arm that swings out from the support for
the setee. It has a leg that folds down and the forward end of the
table which is the middle section of the cabin berth rests on it.
