Shawn,

Welcome and congratulations on your recycled 1986! Stan charged me extra
for mine because he said it was faster than the others.

Sorry to hear about your trailer mishap. My boat was professionally
delivered too and the trailer became disconnected from the tow vehicle on
I-95. Fortunately the professional driver wasn't driving 80 mph with the
rest of the traffic. I think he's more of a 40 mph type driver. The
trailer never flipped and the bullet-proof Rhodes survived undamaged.

When I replace my outboard I'll seriously consider the Torqeedo electrics.
I was thinking about the Cruise 2 or 4 to fight strong winds heading back to
port but I rarely need that much umph, and aside from the power the 1003
definitely has some advantages; especially price. Do you take the motor on
and off each time or leave it in place on the motor lift? Can you attach
the motor to the boat's tiller with Stan's linkage system? Does the motor's
arm raise completely vertical to clear the transom when the motor is down in
the water? The sales rep wasn't sure how it would work on our transoms. Do
you charge it at home or with marina power or solar power?

Thanks and many happy sails!
