Ron, I agree with the advice you've seen on the motor/tiller linkage for
improved control under motor power. I love that feature.
An additional thought- if you have or can get ahold of back issues of
Cruising World (other pubs may have this as well) there are occasional
clever tips on how to use dock lines as levers to assist approaching and
leaving the dock in various wind conditions. They usually require a
helper, and they all require some practice, but very useful.
