[Rhodes22-list] Water in Bilge and Pump

Ron, I've watched this debate over the years.  I'm still of the belief that it's better to know you have a leak, and fix it, versus having a bilge pump. 

I had a recurring slow leak when my boat was new and was finding and inch or so of fresh water in the bilge.  A quick application of silicone caulk around the chainplates and the mast power cables going through the cabin rooof solved the problem.
