The previous owner of mine told me that he measured the deflection of
the old boards and then used a come-a-long to pull the new ones into
the same shape. Of course, mine are not perfect, they don't contact
the hull at the middle of board while sitting still on the trailer - a
bit to much bow. So, I would recommend a little less bow than you
think is perfect then let the weight of the boat adjust it for you.
Both ends of mine havel slotted bolt holes to allow for some
adjustment. I don't think I can get less bow in mine unless I
reverse the come-a-long operation with the boat off the trailer. They
seem to have taken on a permanent shape.
