[Rhodes22-list] Clanging Mast

Ok - this may sound nuts BUT what is inside the mast that causes a clanging
noise as the boat rocks back and forth?

We try to sleep on the boat on weekends and the constant clanging keeps us
awake. Is this normal and if so, has anyone figured out a way of silencing
the noise?
