Very worthwhile post on self tending the jib.  I would probably suggest a simpler and less expensive alternative, but self-tending makes the geriatric rig more friendly.

I have gotten an off-list question about the boomroom - it can be well integrated with an existing pop top enclosure, thereby simpler and much less expensive.  Maybe of note as most of our boats come out of GB with PTE purchased.
