[Rhodes22-list] how to use tongue extension on triad trailer

I let my cockpit fill with snow one winter and in the spring when I opened
it up I had solid block of ice in the cabin about 6"" deep in the cabin. It
didn't actually do any obvious damage but it sure was disquieting - not to
mention heavy..

Watch out for that cockpit full of snow, Steve. There is the real
possibility that the melt water won't be able to find the seat drains fast
enough, and will find its way into the lazerette. If you have a series of
freeze-thaw cycles and a few snowfalls, the weight in the lazerette will
keep increasing until one day you look out your window and see your bow
elevated as if your Rhodes was ready to launch. I'm not suggesting it
happened to me -- just sayin'.
Since liftoff, I've taken to covering the cockpit each winter though. ;-)

So once spring is here I will be launching for the first time. I have Triad
trailer with an extension that sits in a square tube offset to stbd side. Do
I just extend the thing and put the pin in the other hole to keep it in
place? I wasn't sure since it is not at centerline and I've never used a
tongue extension before. Something to think about as I look out window to
the boat with cockpit full of snow.
