[Rhodes22-list] Centerboard top glassed in?

How very strange! I've owned 2 Rhodes 22 sailboats and have yet to see a
pop-rivet securing the centerboard trunk cap. On my '81 they were
originally sheet metal screws which I replaced with 1/4" machine screws,
nuts, flat washers and lock washers, all stainless. On my '91 they are
bolts and nuts from what I have seen. Pop-rivets!

Is there still a rubber or neoprene gasket? There should be a 1/4" think
black neoprene gasket between the upper and lower portions of the cb trunk.

Oh, BTW, it is below the water line. If it leaks, you will test the foam
flotation system.

Here's a pic. Over the fiberglass part there are rivets and over the metal
part screws. -- Steve
