I think it was a few hundred bucks for parts and labor. Maybe closer to $500. Separate ignition key required a separate cable. 

Not the economy play by any means and if I'd had more time I would have looked for a third party handle that was simpler and more "sailboaty."  (Nautical term.) Trade-off was getting all the Yamaha lockouts and getting it done this season when I had the window. 

I picked that placement to make the control accessible from either side. It's just reachable from captain's chairs. We placed it a few inches higher to improve reach. 

Can send better pics next weekend and get exact prices from invoice if anyone wants them. I'm traveling this week.
