Peter:
Sorry to see you sell the Rhodes. So far as I know you were the only other
Canadian with one - even if it was kept in Edenton. Looks like my grandiose
ambitions to paint the deck, install ports and chainplates, fix the crack in
the keel and rebuild the interior are also being frustrated because of
surgery. In my case it is bypass surgery and that , it appears will really
screw up boat work. So it looks like another year to plan. Why couldn't this
happen in the fall or winter? I also have a small fleet of old boats but
only my small pontoon boat will see water this year.
The Rhodes sounds like a terrific project boat. I sure hope that when your
leg is better than ever you don't regret getting rid of your fleet. If you
miss working of the Rhodes, mine is just down the road from your place and
you are most welcome to pitch in. I'll let you fix the crack under the keel.
You don't need knees for that.
All the best,
Graham

thx for input, trailer was a loaner from Stan. boy, these pain killers are
cool.have just sold my 19 gaff cutter and 23 proline, both with trailers,
was up to 5 trailers and boats so had enough trouble with what goes with
which boat. My wife has two [ a son gets the sunfish] and l'm left with my
A23 that is a deal breaker, ie l sell it and she will divorce me.
Stan has offered to buy the R22 back, always the gentleman. yep, my repair
job is mostly free, but long waiting times, hard to jump the queue..
especially on one leg..will put my wife's parrot on my shoulder as she saw a
plate on a car on tues, AAR M8Y,peg leg peter

you put into her. Hopefully that was only the medication talking too. Even
for a 1979 you could get a whole lot more. Put it on ebay starting at $2000
and it will probably take off. The trailer is probably worth almost that
much.
