[Rhodes22-list] cabin top sliders

I am wondering if anyone has replaced the sliders on the pop top that guide
the sliding hatch? My old 74 has badly weathered teak with what looks like
formed Formica strips below the hatch flanges - presumably as wear strips. I
would like to replace the teak and Formica strips with aluminium or some
other material that is easy to maintain. I am also wondering what is used on
newer boats as I understand that most of the teak trim was dropped over the
years.
Thanks,
Graham

Mike,
Aside from Stan, I'm thinking you might have more years sailing a Rhodes
than anyone else on this list. If you retired back in the early 80s you
might even be older than Stan! :)
Good story. I assume you have a motor now.
