Is the centerboard functional?  If so, I'd be inclined to leave it for now and go sailing! - rob

Hi Rob,
I have a centerboard but cannot access it inside the boat.  I have a 4 in.
wide glassed in trunk that extends into the cabin.  On the forward end is a little access port made of plywood help on with 4 little copper screws that I think holds a pulley.
