Think of it, guys - what a terrible shame that with our infinite vigor and boundless brilliance we are still confined to the hull speed.  We need some more help from our fearless leader!

For the UPS, I have a seperate halyard that is there for whatever I choose to hoist (ie flag, Christmas lights, UPS, etc) mostly is just bangs the mast like everyone else in the marina (I wouldn't want to be the only quiet boat on a breezy day :-)) I have found that while the UPS is self furling, it has a tendancy to try to come out if you hoist it just to motor out or other times, so I keep it laying on the fordeck until I am ready to deploy (if it is anything over 5 knots I leave it in the bag since I know I won't be using it)

On the question about the furler, I am presuming you are asking about the 130; and I cannot answer. I have never had the sail off the furling tube (I have on the main, and that sail has the groove in the furling tube that one inserts the sail into) and have not ventured to inspect while under full sail to verify. I do know it has a luff rope cause I can see it.
