Jim,

I picked up a recycled this year also. I went with a Tohatsu 9.8 20in. 

If I had to do it again I'd go with an 8. Any bigger is overkill with no benefit IMHO. Maybe smaller if you're on inland lake. I hear both Joe's and Art's points. They're spot on about shaft length. 

You're going to love your boat! Here is a picture of my motor. I got it online and had it sent directly to Stan.
