[Rhodes22-list] Mac's 130 Genoa

Mac invited me out over the weekend and let me try out his new 130% Genoa he
just got from Stan.

We couldn't have asked for better conditions. Temperatures were in the low
70s, the winds on the Magothy (just north of Annapolis) were steadily around
8-10 knots, and the more beer we drank the more the perfect conditions
became even perfecter (beer word).

I've always been an advocate of the 175 Genoa even though it's rare that the
monster is completely unfurled. I may have to rethink that. If a smaller
sail is better for 80% of your needs then it probably makes sense.

Here are some less-than-perfect pictures of the Genoa:

Here's a picture of Captain Mac before he passed out and fell overboard:

Just kidding of course. It was some of the fastest, longest reaching I've
done--mostly over 5 knots.

If you want to see how a real sailor does it, I think Mac will be doing the
demos on Chris Cowie's boat at the Annapolis Boat Show.

Thanks Mac and I hope you sell a fleet of Rhodes for Stan!
