 have helped over the years several Rhodies with this problem of a bent tube... in most cases, the fastest, minimal cost is to take a tubing cutter and cut off the entire bent section.... probably not more than a foot or two. Then replace it with a slightly larger inside diameter aluminum tubing and increase it's length by at least a foot. Slide it over the top and bottom sections making sure not to increase the length of the tube from the original... pop rivet or epoxy both the top and bottom areas of attachment. Recall the forestay rides on a top and bottom tube nylon or delrin insert through it's center hole. You may have to cut a narrow channel to slip the forestay in and reinsert in the tube... to avoid the purchase of having a rigger or compression fit a new length of cable with it's respective end fitting.
