While we can't stand NC's endless attempts to rewrite democracy in their
own image, we can point out that Albemarle Sound (the second largest
estuary in the US) has no tide (water level is amazingly constant year
round), is brackish so rarely have to bottom paint, connects to the
Ocean so can sail to anywhere in the world without lowering the mast,
never have to take the boat out of the water, sail in January (if the
wind is from the South) yet has less snow than Atlanta, GA. plus can
sail to the best Rhodes repairs facility.
