It would not make much sense to have electric brakes on a boat trailer anyway.

My conversations with Mike suggest he only installs the surge brakes.
My vote would be for the standard 4 pin system. Adaptors can be bought
at the most basic retailer with auto or trailer stuff like oil, bulbs,
wiper blades.
