[Rhodes22-list] Swing keel help

Mine were once clear plastic or vinyl they were in bad shape. I  
replaced them with rubber marine heater hose and cut them to fit right  
under the cap.
I hope that was the right thing to do.
The CB in the up position hangs about 1-1/2" below the CB trunk.
Running aground with the CB up, or an extreme low tide at my mooring,  
will force the CB up in the slots, putting pressure on tubes and  
ultimately on the cap - but since my cap had been cracked in the top  
center, I suspected it had been forced up in the slots and the old  
tubes didn't do their job.  I didn't want that much potential movement.
Two weeks to launch, so I have time to correct if if its wrong.
Any other opinions?
