One additional thought on launching, especially if using the extension.  Make damn sure the coupler handle is down and latched.  A fellow sailor had his trailer and boat pop off when backing his boat into the water and it crashed into the dock.  I don't use a safety chain when using the extension, but I'm rethinking that aspect. - Rob Lowe
