[Rhodes22-list] Galley counter top question

Something you might want to consider when you install your new galley is to
include a small hanging open locker. I made one by installing a bulkhead aft
of the new galley by the companion way by making a new bulkhead and then
installing a short closet rod. The locker was only about 8" wide and we
found the remaining counter area quite adequate.
The locker was well worth the loss of  8" in the galley. It was adequate to
hang our foul weather gear and a few "go-out-to-dinner-clothes". The foul
weather gear was where you wanted it when you needed it and had a place to
dry out afterwards while and the good clothes, which were in a garment bag,
stayed presentable. 

Sorry , I don't have a picture as my boat is currently gutted but when I
rebuild I will definitely install the locker again

Thanks, those are some of my concerns.  When I acquired the boat the
previous owners had taken out the galley and only a few parts were left.  I
have been trying to figure out the layout but it has been difficult.  I have
done the stringers and the floor and now I am in the process of installing
the counter top.  I have been searching for layout pictures on the internet
and have found a few with good detail.  I did get the starboard at a great
price but weight is an issue.  I am trying to figure out if I should use a
frame or not. I have no idea how the original was setup.

If anyone has pictures of their galley, especially with some detail, that
would make the job easier.  I am in Arizona and to find a Rhodes floating
around is not going to happen.
