How far forward! As far as you can get it - on a single axle Triad trailer - all ports forward of the wheel and a bit more. We have a 100# 9.9 Yamaha, so if you fail to get the boat as far forward as described, when you disconnect the extended trailer tongue from the tow vehicle, the trailer tongue may well reach for the stars. {:>). Don't ask me how I know this... Fortunately my brother was with me and saved the day! Thanks, George!
