Helen,
Agreed. Weather window is paramount. (No northerly winds) I have friends that made the crossing in Jet Skis! My father used to say that we would not go into the Gulf Stream if there where elephants on the horizon.
I am super excited about the possibilities of making the jump with some fellow Rhodies.
In the meantime, I am taking the boat down to the keys in October for a scouting mission. I might head out to Nest Key on the gulf side for some camping, fishing, and kayaking.
