The Durango with the hemi  and 4 wheel drive would probably give you the best weight ratio in the SUV category.  A good size six pac pick-up V8 and 4 wheel drive, I f you have a need for it, would be a better choice, in my opinion.

We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the hemi and 4 wheel drive, no problems.

And if you are only towing once or twice a year, rent and drive a fuel efficient auto.
