I have switched to interlude Aqua a water base paint . Went on easy  over 
old ablative (fiberglass bottomcoat)
And is on its second year. A few  places peeled where I hadn't sanded 
enough of the old buildup off. It is a  harder surface and doesn't come off if 
you touch it
