Rick,
So the wide part of the door stopper would be right over the drain hole? Is
that correct? I guess another solution is the find something to plug the
drain hole in the cockpit. Anyone else have a solution for this? Is this
going to happen even if not motoring if I bring 4 adults on the boat along
with myself.

Susan,
Next time your boat is out of the water, glue a rubber door stopper in front
of the drain hole--pointed end forward. This will create a vacuum in the
hole and you won't get water up the drain even with the fattest crew.
