[Rhodes22-list] motor lift/shaft question

For those of you who have the electric motor lift installed by Stan, does
anybody remember or can easily find out what the approximate distance is
from the top of the motor bracket to the water line? I would measure it
myself but I can't get to the boat for a few days. My question really is
whether a motor with a 15'' short shaft would have the propeller inside the
water - sufficiently to move the boat, even if it is not ideal.My 9.9 HP
motor with 20'' shaft is being serviced and I'm being offered a temporary 4
HP replacement, which I believe has a short shaft. Is this going to be
useless?Thanks!José
