Please include me on the photos and discussion of this. We have a similar issue with our rudder lines after buying a 1986 Rhodes without the rudder attached.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Need rudder info
Hi, Rhodies,
I'm in need of some visual aids. We've had some wicked weather and it caused a bit of upset w/my boat.
The line holding the rudder in the 'up' position broke last fall, so I had to keep the rudder in the down position.(Shouldn't have waited to replace the line...;^( Well, winter's wind & wave action caused the rudder to come off ...the bolt came out but luckily the 'kick up' line kept it attached to the boat.
We've gotten it reattached..and have put new line on the outside to pull it up...but now I cannot get it into the full vertical position. There is something about how the line on the outside of the rudder (the one used to pull it up) that doesn't seem right...but I cannot figure out what is wrong.
Does anyone have pix of the rudder in the full vertical position...and in the down position.....and anything that shows how and where the pull -up line is attached? Thanks, all.
elle Beer is good....people are crazy
