Ahhhhh, electrics.
I have an old minkota long shaft, salt water, 36 v electric.
I use three LiPo 12v 40 a-hr batteries to power it. We are now on a lake, but previously used it on LI sound. Have never run out of power day sailing.
Great for quiet power around the dock/ marina/ mooring field. Not so good with heavy crew in a 5 knot or above current .
Did I mention quiet, easy starting , light weight, and no fumes?
