[Rhodes22-list] 3 gallon portable gas tank question

My gas line is less than a year old - new with the tank last September. Plus,
I have only used marine fuel without methanol. How do you test a gas vent? I
turn it clockwise to close it and counter-clockwise fully to open it. I
didn't know about pushing on it (as Geoff mentioned) to make it release
pressure. Seems like if there is pressure in there, it won't be able to pull
air in very well.
