I never had the pleasure of meeting Elton, but he certainly left his mark both with WLIR and General Boats. I found this on the web: http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/elton-spitzer-dead-radio-executive-who-built-wlir-fm-into-new-wave-powerhouse-was-84-1.11714153 . My condolences to Stan, Rose and the entire Spitzer family. Don SimonsIthaca, NY

Peter, thanks for letting us know. I’m very sorry to hear of Elton’s passing. He was an important part of the R22 community for many years until he got sick. I have a great memory of him eating dinner in our kitchen and flirting with my mother in law.
Stan, if you’re reading this, please know we’re thinking of you, Rose and Elton.
