[Rhodes22-list] What happens when Rhodies go over to the dark side

Some of you know we haven't used Fretless too much the past couple of 
years. It took us a while to figure out that we are not as nimble as 
we once were and that every time we went out we were worried about 
getting beat up or we waited for perfect weather and didn't go out.

We idly talked about a powerboat as a possible solution and even went 
to the powerboat show in Annapolis to look at options. It wasn't 
until we saw a Rosborough RF-246 at the Bay Bridge Boat Show this 
spring that we knew we had found out next boat, a 26 ft outboard 
powered mini-trawler. It won't be sailing but she has doors on either 
side of the helm position so you feel like you are on the water, 
great visibility, a nice cockpit and shallow draft so we can re-visit 
all of our favorite anchorages. The one that will be ours any day now 
was one of the last ones built in Nova Scotia before Bob Rosborough 
sold the molds and the name to Eastern Boats in New Hampshire (which 
is making very nice new ones.)

We miss sailing but we will be very excited to get back out on the 
water. If you can stand us, we'll probably stick around here.
