[Rhodes22-list] hull-deck join fastening

Can anyone tell me how the hull deck join is fastened on the R22? I should
know this as I removed the rub rail about 5 years ago and now that I am
reconstructing the join I have forgotten what was there. I looks to me like
the hull and deck were attached with rivets spaced about every three feet
while the aluminium rub rail track was then installed with screws about
every 8 inches. Is this correct or was the rub rail also riveted?
I really miss having a memory.

Mary Lou, if you ever need a sailing Rhodes 22 fix, head south on I-95 to
Jacksonville, Florida and we'll go sailing anytime. I know you guys could
teach me a thing or two. Glad your sticking around the list. I've enjoyed
and relied on many of your posts for advice.
Cheers,

Oriental to Rock Hall. If it turns out that we love that, who knows? I think
the AC will be really nice for that trip in July. Of course it only works at
the dock so we may mostly marina-hop on our way north although the boat does
have great ventilation and a refrigerator/freezer for cool drinks.

Chesapeake anchorages and ports that have seemed out of reach the past few
years. Like the Rhodes, the boat is capable of a lot more than we are (if
only in the sense of time available.) In fact, This Rossi is only 4 years
old but has already been from the Chesapeake to the East coast of Florida.
Others have cruised the New England coast, done the Great Loop including the
Great Lakes and cruised the Pacific Northwest.

hit all the wonderful places and anchorages along its shores. We certainly
didn't in 20 years of cruising first on the Com-Pac 16 and then on the
Rhodes 22. Part of the issue was, of course, that some were so wondeerful,
you just wanted to go back again and again. The new boat will be a little
faster than a sailboat so we may range further afield.

toys so we still will want to devote time to kayaking (the new boat will be
a good platform for that), the travel trailer (we might do a few less music
festival than we did last year but probably only by one or two) and taking
the trailer (and the kayaks) to Florida for a few weeks in the winter and
elsewhere in the summer. On the other hand we are hoping to give at least a
few hours of work.

lives. We'll miss (and have missed) sailing so I'll get my online fix here
and of course we do still have friends with sailboats.
