[Rhodes22-list] CB pendant length

I have an old style board. Its not that heavy, I’ve opened the gasketed top cap, removed the CB and repaired the cap, which was cracked due to a grounding. I refurbished the trunk and replaced the hose parts which occupy the slots, installed to prevent the board from sliding up in its tracks and hitting the cap - which is apparently what happened. Anyway - the board is not that heavy and although I replaced the line and blocks, I questioned myself at the time, that all that purchase adds more friction than the weight it presumably helps to lift.
It sounds like the newer diamond board does not use any blocks and is a direct path from the back of the board with no turning blocks.
