[Rhodes22-list] Water in the cabin

Hi Alexis,
We never had serious condensation issues, certainly not enough to cause
a couple of gallons to accumulate but we (in PA and Maryland) always
took most everything off of the boat in the winter and tarped it with
the companionway board partially open.
The times we did have water in the bilge, it would take a week or so of
mopping up before it all drained forward to where we could mop it up. I
remember you said your boat is slightly bow down so you could still be
getting accumulated water coming forward. Keep mopping and be
persistent. You don't want ice forming in the hidden parts of the boat.
Ice will crack cockpit drains, the sink drain and other parts as well.

I’m not excluding leaks from chain plates or other hardware but what I saw was widespread, so hopefully just condensation.

I removed the settee and its support to inspect a bit more: the foam that sits underneath the cockpit was wet.
