Ha Richard!
Sounds like you would have married my wife if hadn't
gotten to Munich before you! Too funny. Yes I will have sailed off to
somewhere else. I will caution you about exploring bars here in Spain,
especially the more seedy ones. After reading your email I, uh, well told
them, you would be picking up my bar tabs and gave them your name and
picture. (evil grin).
The to do list is getting shorter and just have to get rid of the stinkin'
trailer. Had to change out as expected my propane tank, regulator for the
stove and control valve for the little propane canisters for the BBQ.
Still need to go over the electrical system it is acting a bit odd. It
seems we might have to move the waterline closer to the rub rail. Where
does all this "esential" crap come from. I think it must have been cloning
itself while in storage.
What a cool country and area. We spent a leisurely 2 hours sampling tapas
and drinks in the main plaza here in Matero and then went back to the boat
to sleep. Ha! It was a very big holiday last night/today, Saint John's
day here in Catalonia. To demonstrate ones religious fervor one sets off
vast, ney, epic quantities of fireworks; for hours, ney, the whole night.
I thought New Years in Naples involved more explosive than used in WWII but
this place came close last night. Just when you would drift into sleep,
BAM! Someone with access to some M-80's or flash-bangs would let loose. It
was fun! Oh here is the first of the last steps to go sailing here in
Spain. I am now flying both the Spanish flag and Catalonian flag. See
attached.
