Hi Bob,

I did not see any pictures attached so it is hard for me to tell what is
going on.  Without seeing it, I can not say if a longer screw will start
getting too close to the wire.  If it looks like that might be an issue, I
would try for the next larger size.  Be careful if you have to drill the
hole larger - go in small steps in drill size doing a test fit each time so
as to not end up having a loose screw again.

Are you keeping tension on the sheet as you furl the jib and visa versa as
you unfurl?
