As someone still living happily in 1976 I can attest to the fact that my V
birth boards are made of regular grade plywood. I think they will last
another 45 years or as long as I live - whichever comes first.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] V-Berth Board materials
I scoured the archives, but couldn't find a good answer. What kind of wood
is used in the v-berth? I pulled out two triangular shaped boards that look
similar to particle board, but I am little suspect that particle board could
have lasted that long. They're not plywood which is what I am leaning
towards as a replacement after sealing it.
It's an easy fix that I'd like to do instead of laying on top of the foam
blob underneath.
