Rodger summed it up.pretty well as I would have.

I dropped my boat square onto one of the guide bunks and broke it off...
 Grind, grind ,grind, weld, weld, paint paint, reassemble.

I used a 2x6 and ripped it to dimension for a new board.  Used the same
carpet.
