Allyn, Your hardware looks just like mine. I had what looked like the start of a thread at the end of the piece at the top of the stay. The threads were just how the 'shaft' was attached to the 'barrel'. It wasn't an adjustment point. Peter Nyberg Coventry, CT s/v Silverheels (1988/2016)
