[Rhodes22-list] Rhodes Continental Sails

Hey Joe,
The 1st Rhodes I owned was a new 1976 Rhodes Continental.  It had a
traditional main and the Rhodes tube furler.  The boom could be turned to
roll up the main but proved to be a pia. The traveler was just a wire
attached to the aft chain plates. There were a few differences on the
moulds , just minor compared to the ‘83 that is now in Greece with in mast
furling and bar traveler. More differences, both interior and exterior
including a CDI furler on the Kansas 1986/2015 boat.  I was never clear
what made a “Continental “ other than vintage.
