Dryer Aluminum Mast is in your neck of the woods. Check with them about your issue. Don't know if they made your mast or not. Honestly that doesn’t look too bad to me, and I’d be shocked if that wasthe only reason to get an entire new (specialized and hard to find) mast.Remember that, under load, the spreaders are under compression and nottension, so the mounts to the mast are more to keep them in place whenthey’re not under tension. Just like the bolt at the foot of the mast.I think there are a few ways to address the issue, including reinforcingthe material behind it, or just adding a new piece of thin strong materialbetween the spreader and the mast to act like a giant washer of sorts. Youmight also be able to relocate the spreaders up or down the mast an inch ortwo to find some good metal to connect them to…I don’t think that small ofa change in geometry would cause other issues. On Sun, Jun 19, 2022 at 2:06 PM Tony Jonaitis via Rhodes22-list <rhodes22-list at rhodes22.org> wrote:> Here is the damage to both sides of the mast...basically under the> spreaders!> -------------- next part --------------> A non-text attachment was scrubbed...> Name: rhodes1.JPG> Type: image/jpeg> Size: 1072663 bytes> Desc: not available> URL: <> http://rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/attachments/20220619/ff8a61bc/attachment.jpe> >> -------------- next part --------------> A non-text attachment was scrubbed...> Name: rhodes2.JPG> Type: image/jpeg> Size: 2521446 bytes> Desc: not available> URL: <> http://rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/attachments/20220619/ff8a61bc/attachment-0001.jpe> >> -------------- next part --------------> A non-text attachment was scrubbed...> Name: rhodes3.JPG> Type: image/jpeg> Size: 942351 bytes> Desc: not available> URL: <> http://rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/attachments/20220619/ff8a61bc/attachment-0002.jpe> >>
