SpinSheet Magazine Lecture

This week's PMU lecture should be of interest to all boaters as just about
anyone who messes around boats and has probably seen and picked up a copy
of SpinSheet, PropTalk or FishTalk magazines at any number of locations in
the local area (including OPCYC). SpinSheet Magazine was founded by Mary
Iliff Ewenson and Dave Gendell in the summer of 1995. Written by sailors,
for sailors and available online and in hard copy, this magazine quickly
became the premier sailing publication on the Chesapeake Bay. It was
followed by the magazine for power boaters, PropTalk in 2005 and a magazine
for Chesapeake Bay fishermen, FishTalk in 2017.  Molly Winans, the editor
for SpinSheet, will be on hand to describe their offerings and what
additional services are associated with each magazine, with emphasis
(obviously) on SpinSheet. Molly is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and made her
way into sailing first with family aboard a Catalina 27 on Lake Erie and
next as a camp counselor messing about on Sunfish, M-16s, and E-scows on a
small lake in Michigan. All the masts in Annapolis lured her to the sailing
capital more than 30 years ago and her passions for sailing and writing led
her to SpinSheet, where she has been a full-time editor for 17 years. When
she’s not sailing on Other People’s Boats, Molly paddles “The Pink” (her
pink SUP), hikes, bikes, practices yoga, and plans her next travel
adventure.
    As always, the coffee's hot so come down to the clubhouse and join us
for what will be an informative and entertaining lecture. If you can't make
it in person, feel free to join the PMU ZOOM conference on Saturday morning
at 0930 to enjoy what I am sure will be an interesting and informative
