Peter, Here are a couple of downhaul system.Note that there is a stainless rod that serves as a fairleadat the bottom the helps make the 90 degree turn around the butt of the rudder to the tie-off on the rudder. The other photo shows the thumb wheel underneath the tiller. You'll have to zoom in. Hopes this helps.Joe DempseyTrojan 42m/v VoyagerFormer Rhodes 22s/v RespiteDeltaville, VA  Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone
-------- Original message --------From: Peter via Rhodes22-list <rhodes22-list at rhodes22.org> Date: 6/6/23 10:46 PM (GMT-05:00) To: rhodes22-list at rhodes22.org Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Lee helm I don't mean to hijack the thread, but this topic reminded me that I've been meaning to ask the list about how the rudder down haul is supposed to be rigged.  My boat came to me with no down haul.  There's a small cleat for the up haul (or whatever it's called) but I don't see a comparable cleat for the down haul.  I see the hole in the rudder where the line gets tied, after that, how does this line run? Thanks, you may now return to your regularly scheduled subject.Peter
