For what it is worth, I remember reading one of Stan's pithy comments
from years ago in which he didn't recommend installing lifelines on the
Rhodes 22. His observation was that for the stanchion height to be
proportional to the length of the boat they would be at the proper
height to catch you behind the knees as you were heading overboard
ensuring only that you would hit the water head first. Made me think
twice about it.
